New report calls Canada’s alternative protein industry ‘hotbed of innovation and key country to do business in’
Game Changers is the first report to compile Canada’s extensive activity in alternative protein development in one place.
Acsion Industries (www.acsion.com) is a technology development company, based in Pinawa, Manitoba. Acsion, through our various divisions and subsidiaries, focuses on the emerging field generally characterized as the ‘science of safety’. We serve public and private clients who require assistance in increasing the levels of safety in their operations. Acsion is currently engaged in several lines of business, including:
· Production of medical isotopes. Acsion, along with our partners, formed the Prairies Isotope Production Enterprise (PIPE) in 2009. PIPE’s mandate is to commercialize our proprietary manufacturing technology for selected radioisotopes.
· Nuclear safety services. Our project managers and technical staff focus on decommissioning of radioactive sites in Canada, including working closely with all levels of government to meet all regulations.
· Development of human resource strategies in support of the science of safety. Acsion provides training courses and works with local universities and colleges to make sure the skilled workforces are available with knowledge in radiation safety.
