Managing Workplace Diversity

This full day workshop will give you the skills needed to help create an inclusive and supportive work environment. Diversity training is one way to develop awareness and increase employee's knowledge and senitivity to diversity issues. Learn how to deal effectively within the workplace and enable your organization to work successfully in cross-cultural situations. 

Course Objectives

• Define diversity and workplace inclusivity

• Understand the business case for diversity

• Explore challenges and benefits of managing diverse work teams

• Acknowledge how culture and age impacts one's own perceptions, values and assumptions

• Take away leadership strategies to build a welcoming and inclusive work environment

About the Instructor

Melenie Olfert is a diversity and intercultural practitioner, presenter, and trainer with more than 10 years of facilitation experience to a variety of audiences. Melenie holds several certificates on adult education and diplomas in Business and Human Resources Management as well as an acknowledgement from the recognized Diversity & lntercultural training program with the Province of Manitoba. She has co-authored workplace resources used by organizationa leaders across the province and is the co facilitator of the Language Interpreter Training Program.
Melenie has delivered training and developed curriculum in the areas of diversity and inclusion, respectful workplace, leadership skills, positive coaching, and employee motivation and well-being.
