INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION
Barry Jansen
Barry is the lead instructor of the Leadership Development Program. Barry is a senior human resource and leadership consulting professional. Drawing from 25 years of experience. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba and a Certificate in Human Resource Management. As an HR professional, Barry is a long-term member of the Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Human Capital Institute.
Janice Gair, PCC, CPHR, SHRM-SCP
Janice brings over two decades of experience in governance, corporate strategy, human resources, and organizational development working at an international level. She is co-founder and president, EI ADVANTAGE. Janice’s core values include social responsibility and servant leadership. She proudly serves as Vice-Chair of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba. She is a certified executive coach and has achieved the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation through the International Coaching Federation. In addition, she holds the Chartered Professional Human Resources (CPHR) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) designations.
Melenie Olfert
Melenie is a diversity and intercultural practitioner, presenter, and trainer with more than 10 years of facilitation experience. Melenie holds several certificates on adult education and diplomas in Business and Human Resources Management as well as an acknowledgment from the recognized Diversity & Intercultural training program with the Province of Manitoba. She has co-authored workplace resources used by organizational leaders across the province and is the co-facilitator of the Language Interpreter Training Program. Further to her training experience, Melenie is an Instructor with the University of Winnipeg, Professional, Applied, and Continuing Education Program where she teaches the course - Cultural Dimensions and Environmental Influences.
Kenneth Molloy, PMP
Ken is the Academic Program Manager and an instructor with the University of Winnipeg's Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) office. He took on that role after a 28-year career as a municipal police officer, working in training, administration, patrol, fraud and child pornography investigations. Even though Ken's work was for the city police, his work took him across Canada and to Switzerland as an investigator and a trainer. Ken has an MBA from the University of Manitoba and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. He has been appointed a Member of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces in recognition of his work as investigator and trainer.
