Managing Mental Health at Work (In-Person)

In a recent study, the Mental Health Commission of Canada found that in any given week, 500,000 Canadians do not go to work due to mental health challenges. There is significant evidence that poor mental health at work affects performance at both the individual and organizational level. This session is designed to assist leaders in addressing & promoting mental health and reducing stigma of mental illness within an organization.

Learning objectives:

  • Gain an awareness of mental health issues, signs and symptoms;
  • Find out how to approach someone who may be struggling;
  • Understand prevention – factors in the workplace that increase the risk of mental health challenges; and
  • Discuss support strategies for all staff to foster a mentally-healthy work environment.

Snacks and beverages will be available for all attendees.
