Engineer, E.I.T. / Engineer, P.Eng


  • As part of a team of professionals, your responsibilities will include:
  • Translating project requirements into meaningful engineering specifications
  • Estimating cost and schedule for various design and design activities
  • Performing heat load calculations for custom design solutions
  • Designing and developing cost effective, innovative refrigerative cooling solutions
  • Using Solidworks to create new and/or modify existing mechanical part/assembly models, drawings and bills of material
  • Collaborating with peers and contribute in design reviews
  • Providing engineering support to cross-functional departments including QA, Production, Sales, Installation and Service
  • Addressing non-conformances and responding to corrective actions in a timely fashion
  • Implementing design changes through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process
  • Conducting troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Preparing design documentation
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

  • Mechanical/Biosystems Engineering degree from an EGM recognized the post-secondary institution
  • Registered E.I.T./P.Eng with EGM or immediately transferrable to EGM
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of Mechanical/Biosystems  Engineering design
  • The following are preferred assets:

o   PMP or demonstrated project leadership

o   Solidworks 3D, Solidworks PDM, Solidworks Simulation fluency

o   Experience in a manufacturing or test environment

o   Sheet metal, refrigeration or HVAC design experience

o   Design in accordance with recognized industry standards including but not limited to ASME, ANSI, NFPA, CSA, UL

o   Current/past contributing membership in SAE, ASHRAE, CASI, or CSME

DURATION: Permanent, full-time position.

LOCATION: Winnipeg

RATE OF PAY: The successful applicant will be remunerated based on their skills and experience.
