Mechanical Engineer

As part of a team of professionals, your responsibilities will include:

Translating project requirements into meaningful engineering specifications

Estimating costs and schedules for various design and design activities

Designing and developing cost effective, innovative product solutions

Using Solidworks to create new and/or modify existing mechanical part/assembly models, drawings and bills of material

Defining test protocols

Performing verification and validation testing in accordance with our ISO quality system

Collaborating with peers and contribute in design reviews

Providing engineering support to cross-functional departments including QA, Production, Sales, Installation and Service

Addressing non-conformances and responding to corrective actions in a timely fashion

Implementing design changes through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process

Conducting troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Preparing design documentation

Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Enjoys a fast paced environment


  • Mechanical Engineering degree from an EGM recognized post-secondary institution
  • Candidate must be registered with EGM or be eligible for immediate registration as a P.Eng
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Engineering with at least 7 years in  a  design capacity
  • The following are considered assets:

o   Project leadership

o   Solidworks PDM, Solidworks Simulation

o   Experience in a manufacturing or test environment

o   Sheet metal or refrigeration or HVAC design

o   Design in accordance with recognized industry standards including but not limited to ASME, ANSI, NFPA, CSA, UL

o   Current/past contributing membership in SAE, ASHRAE, CASI, or CSME

DURATION: Permanent, full-time position.

LOCATION: Winnipeg

RATE OF PAY: The successful applicant will be remunerated based on their skills and experience.
