Administrative Assistant

Kane Biotech Inc. is a Canadian-based technology company engaged in the development and
commercialization of products that prevent and remove microbial biofilms.


The Position:

Reporting to the Site Head, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing
administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the corporate office. The position will support
managers and employees through a variety of administrative duties and will be responsible for
confidential and time sensitive material. This is an on-site position.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Carry out administrative duties for the Kane office in Winnipeg.
• Welcome visitors.
• Monitor and reply to email, telephone, or face-to-face enquiries. Monitor Kane and subsidiary
websites. Answer and respond to outside questions and requests.
• Develop and update administrative systems and processes to make them more efficient.
• Support purchasing and product activities including all courier requirements.
• Support senior management including organizing travel and meeting arrangements.
• Format and support presentations and report generation for all facets of the operation.
• Maintain office and kitchen supplies.
• Arrange meals and refreshments as required.
• Other duties as required.

 

Education and Skills

• Minimum education: community college degree or certification
• Proficiency with MS Office applications with an aptitude for presentations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization, with maturity
and discretion.
• Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
