The Role

The Marketing & Communications Manager will develop and coordinate all marketing and communications efforts, developing a strong Cerebra brand across all touchpoints.  Their responsibilities will range from PR, marketing, branding and event-related projects with a specific focus on innovative digital content and event driven marketing strategies. This person will play an integral role in driving customer engagement and positioning the Cerebra brand as a leader in digital sleep medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and pricing strategy for Cerebra’s products..
  • Lead market research efforts to uncover viability of current and existing product/services.
  • Direct sales strategies by collecting research on products, marketplace, competition and new trends.
  • Coordinate branding initiatives across all channels, driving a consistent customer experience.
  • Create product content and design (e.g. sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, static and rich banner ads etc.) to articulate the benefits of our products to the market.
  • Lead the creation and promotion of compelling content across various platforms, including web, social media, blog posts, forum responses, press releases and newsletters.
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from new audiences.
  • Oversee external consultants and agencies, ensuring alignment with Cerebra’s objectives, quality delivery, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Research team to distill complex scientific information into accessible insights.
  • Coordinate outreach activities, including conferences and seminars, to promote Cerebra’s products and research.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of Cerebra’s communications and marketing strategies, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

What you'll need to succeed

  • Post secondary degree in Marketing, Public Relations, business, or related fields
  • Proven leadership in communication and stakeholder engagement, preferably within the medical device, software or clinical sleep sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new product launches including marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective communication materials spanning written content, presentations, and digital media.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in planning, executing, and evaluating communication initiatives.
  • Proficiency in overseeing external consultants and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. 

What we would love to see

  • Advanced knowledge of graphic editing tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of digital design processes and best practices, including image optimization, responsive design, and basic WordPress, HTML and CSS.

On-site or hybrid in Winnipeg, Manitoba or remote home office location in Pacific, Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones.
