Red River College is the largest institution of applied learning in Manitoba and the second-largest post-secondary institution in the province. The college has a Life Sciences department that has three programs serving the life science industry. The programs are:

• Chemical and Biosciences technology, which teaches basic lab skills and enables graduates to work in any lab setting
• Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, which teaches both solid dose and bio-fermentation manufacturing processes
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control in the Pharmaceutical industry, which teaches the regulatory requirements.

The College also has the capacity to do small batch manufacturing for research purposes, as well as offering contract training to the industry.
