New machinery for PAMI

The Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute in Portage la Prairie is excited to get their hands on some new machinery, thanks to funding from the provincial and federal governments.

PAMI is receiving $735,000 under the Growing Forward 2 program for new equipment to support applied research projects for the agricultural sector.

The institute provides research and development work for advancing agricultural technology and implements innovative solutions for agriculture and beyond.

Every year, PAMI conducts about 100 projects in Manitoba and Saskatchewan to address challenges in the agricultural sector, in areas such as equipment design, agronomy, and nutrient management. The funding will be used to make the projects more efficient and provide better service to agricultural clients and farmers in Manitoba and Western Canada.
