NEW RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS TO RECEIVE $2 MILLION IN FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL SUPPORT

The governments of Canada and Manitoba are investing more than $2 million over three years to support 24 research and development projects in Manitoba’s agriculture and agri-food sector, Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Development Minister Ron Kostyshyn announced today.

“Research and development continue to be key to driving innovation in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food industry,” said Minister Ritz. “Investments in new research such as these will help create further economic opportunities for our producers and processors.”
