Kane Biotech Receives $2.7 Million USD United States Department of Defense Award of DispersinB®

Kane Biotech, Winnipeg based company, received the U.S. Department of Defense’s (“DoD”) Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium Research Project Award (“MTEC Award”) for its proposal entitled "Clinical evaluation of DispersinB® to treat biofilm mediated antimicrobial resistance in non healing chronic wound".

The MTEC Award will provide approximately $2.7 million USD in non-dilutive funding for the continued clinical development of the Company's DispersinB® to treat biofilm-mediated antimicrobial resistance in non-healing chronic wounds.

 “This award is transformative for our Human Health business and will support our work to identify the product’s optimal development and regulatory approval path”, added Marc Edwards.
