BAM's Board Of Directors Calls For Nominations

The Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM) is currently seeking nominations for one vacancy on their board of directors. Appointments will begin at BAM’s 2021 Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held in September 2021. As a member of the board of directors, you will have the opportunity to strategize and provide insights and direction to the bioscience industry in Manitoba.  
 
The bioscience industry in Manitoba generates over 10.4 billion in revenue and contributes a total provincial GDP of $8.2 billion. BAM is the voice and organizational nucleus of Manitoba’s bioscience industry.  Our mission is to enable commercial success, foster innovation, expand industry skills, and bring awareness to Manitoba’s thriving bioscience industry.  
 
Board member responsibilities include: 
 
Attend quarterly meetings of the BAM Board of Directors. 
Participate in one committee which meets approximately quarterly. The committees are designed to provide guidance to the association in areas deemed substantial to both the association and industry (ex. Policy, governance, etc.).  
Provide direction to the association to ensure the development of, and enhance the value of the programs and services the association offers. 
Participate in BAM community events such as the Awards Gala and Global Biotech Week. 
 
The current BAM board comprises of 15 diverse group of business representatives, researchers and service providers. All directors must have current membership with the Association.  
 
Please complete the self-nomination form attached and attach a CV. The documents must be provided to BAM fay@biomb.ca by July 9th, 2021. You will be contacted by the Association by August 20th,2021.
